Wags has been a regular face on the Leeds Techno circuit since the mid 90’s, first cutting his teeth behind the decks as a regular guest in the bottom room at the legendary Orbit nights between 1997- 2000. During this period Wags also held a residency at Burnley based Deep House night Mind Biscuit playing alongside such Dj’s as Ralph Lawson, Digs and Whoosh and Justin Harris. Stints on Pirate radio followed alongside long time collaborator Paul Radley before a move to New Zealand in 2000.There Wags DJed extensively on the Auckland club circuit and co-hosted the massively popular “Northern Monkeys” Saturday morning radio show on Auckland’s George FM with Radley. Moving back to the UK in late 2001, Wags set to work on his most well know project. “Throb” a techno night set up with 4 close friends saw Wags taken on co promotion and residency duties.The club played host to many rising stars of the British and European Techno scene. The club ran for just over 3 years and saw acts like Surgeon, Paul Damage, Space DJ’s, Subhead, Mark Hawkins, Neil Landstrumm and Inigo Kennedy play to a hungry crowd of techno heads desperate for there fix after the demise of the Orbit. Since Throbs closure Wags has spend his time perusing his two great passions in life, studio work and Cycling. A stint Managing Wakefield based synth pop act Berlin Trilogy between 2013-14 culminated in the successful Electronic gears night as part of the Yorkshire festival preceding the 2014 Tour De France start in Leeds. Since this Wags has broadcast his Electronic gears show via Mixlr and is now proud to join the Peoples City Radio fold Weekly from 25th January.
